What if money could serve nature as well as people and businesses?

My Drop in the Oceans is an international NGO founded on a vision of society empowering people to value Nature.

Currently many of the true costs to nature and ultimately to humanity, as a consequence of our lifestyles and consumption, remain hidden and unaccounted for in the price we pay for the goods and services we buy. Feeling a need to make a fundamental shift in the way our societies value nature, we have built a unique digital currency platform called 'MyDIO' (aka. My Drop In the Oceans). Through MyDIO we aim to increase the relative spending power of both people and businesses in favour of ever more sustainable products and lifestyles without compromising on quality of living.

Ultimately, we propose a roadmap towards the delivery of a monthly dividend (a universal allowance) to each and every citizen in the form of a unique currency designed for nature, called DIO (aka. a Drop In the Oceans). A currency which can only be used to reward sustainable actions and investments.

Inspired by the very simple idea of returning value to nature, we have created a platform that brings together consumers and businesses to a place where everybody and every action can count.  My Drop in the Oceans is a global community of people attracted by smarter, more enriching lifestyles, conscious about their quality of life today and tomorrow.

We have created DIO, a complementary currency that returns value to nature by rewarding citizens, consumers and businesses for their sustainable actions. For consumers, we are turning environmental costs into purchasing power to help empower people to make smart and responsible choices. For businesses, we provide opportunities to engage with consumers and sustainability in ways that bring value to their business and the environment.
